Rosettes Galore

Here's a rosette tutorial from Just Another Hang Up. These are made with a thick almost canvas material, but I've seen them made everywhere, with just about everything, for every type of accessory.  Just today at school I saw a little girl with them on barrettes in her hair...super cute!

Button Egg & Faux Chocolate Bunnies

I found these adorable Easter decorations from Auntie Lolo Crafts.  I'm always about finding something to make with stuff I already have, and you truly do not need to purchase much for these!

Blog Hopping...again...

I spy bags and love blocks courtesy of Oopsey Daisy

and...Mr. Potato felt Head...great for quiet time.

I guess I need to add this blog to my list.  I honestly can't believe how creative this woman is!  She also doesn't work...something that I will be doing a lot of come next week.

Then I found these adorable boo-boo packs at Just Another Hang Up.

So for now, these goodies will need to go in the queue.

Wordle Site

I L-O-V-E this site!  If you like all the subway signs that are out there, this site helps you make your own that you can print.  Wordle

Mom...remember my shelf...

The shelf I have been working on over the past 2 days was a "Christmas" present for my daughter two years ago...or was it three?...regardless, I've finally finished it.  I'm actually glad that I didn't give it to her as a gift because she picked out the colors and some of the embellishments.  Everything I already had on hand so it was one of those "free" projects.  I did have to dust off the shelf a little and give it another coat or two of paint, but better late than never!

The Girl Creative: Easter Ruffle Quilt

Here's a cute and easy quilt...for later.  Originally from Me Sew Crazy, I found it this morning on The Girl Creative's site.  Love it and will put it in the queue, as my mother always says!  Here are the directions.
The Girl Creative: Easter Ruffle Quilt: "Let Springtime begin!!! With Easter fast approaching and the temperatures finally starting to rise, I have been engulfed in little girl's..."

Glass Block Etching

For today's post, I will be etching a couple of small glass blocks that I picked up at HL for $5 a piece.  (They always are having a 50% off of something!)  A few years ago, students gave glass blocks filled with a string of lights and a bow on top for a Christmas gift.  Clever and different, but I never had the desire to buy blocks and drill my own hole for each.

Maawwwwmmmmm....I'm bored.....

Really...she's bored.  She's been out of school a week and this week her little brother is back at preschool.  So apparently there is no one to pick on, bother, make scream, or boss around and she needs something to do.  "I always do crafts with Baba, Mom.  I'm always so creative when she gives me an idea.  She has so many stamps and paints and papers and markers and..."  Needless to say I was in search of something for her to do today.  Then I ran across this super cute owl at Natsprat.  I'm not sure what it is with the owls lately, but I see them everywhere.  The greatest part of this is that there doesn't have to be any sewing.  She really has no patience for anything that might take a while....hmmm I wonder where she gets that from...so this will be the perfect little project.  AND the best part is that I already have the supplies!

Finished product....

O.K. so I sewed a little, but you wouldn't have to.

Then my 4 year old came home and saw what his sister made today and looked at me with those baby blues...and batted those long eyelashes...and spoke in his meek, disappointed little voice.  "Where's mine?"  Who could say no to that...the sucker who made another one.
...the next day...Jackson didn't really like his pirate.  He wanted a blue one since his favorite color is blue.  I thought he wanted a blue bandana...but, no.  He wanted the entire pirate to be blue.  It's pretty ugly, but he loves it.

A Tale of Two Wreaths

So here is wreath #2...still loving the style and how the ribbons look, but I have to say I still love my first wreath more.  This wreath didn't take nearly as much time or ribbon, but I think that the smaller ribbon makes it!

Here's a quick run-down of supplies, cost, and time...

Ribbon Wreath

I LOVE this wreath!! I'm off on spring break and was in the mood for a little creativity. I was on facebook and saw a blog someone else had commented on, and well one blog led to another and I found this wreath...
How adorable it that! Tatertots and Jello is my new favorite place to visit for all things crafty and reinvented and recycled and inspiring. It's one of those blogs that's new everyday, sometimes multiple times during the day. Oh I could spend hour upon hour blog hopping and just dreaming of the day I have the time! So, since I had the time this week I decided to make an Easter wreath. Of course like most things I create, I needed more material than required and more time than I expected. BUT...I am in love with my wreath! The picture here hanging on my navy front door doesn't even do it justice... then as I finished it up and was checking blogs I found this from She's {Kinda} Crafty, another new favorite place for inspiration!

Currently I'm creating a second wreath...Hobby Lobby was having a 50% off ribbon sale this week...DANGEROUS! It looks very similar to this one here. I just can't wait to see how it turns out! I'll keep you posted.
